This policy outlines how Edwiser handles data collected through the Moodle WhatsApp Integration plugin. We’re committed to protecting user data, maintaining transparency, and complying with global data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. How the Product Works
- Edwiser has partnered with Pinnacle Teleservices Pvt. Ltd., an official Meta Business Partner.
- Pinnacle facilitates access to the Meta WhatsApp API and handles message delivery.
- Edwiser provides the Moodle plugin interface to configure and trigger WhatsApp notifications based on Moodle events (e.g., course enrollment, assignment deadlines).
3. What Data Edwiser Collects and Stores
We collect and store the minimum necessary data to enable and track the delivery of WhatsApp notifications:

- Mobile number of the recipient
- Approved WhatsApp template ID
- Country/region (to determine Meta billing)
- Template parameters (e.g., user name or dynamic values)
All message processing and delivery is subject to Pinnacle’s Privacy Policy, which includes compliance with GDPR and standard data protection practices.
5. Data Security
- Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (e.g., HTTPS).
- Only authorized systems and personnel have access to the data logs.
- Message content is processed temporarily for delivery but never stored.
- We do not store any payment information or financial details.
6. Retention Policy
- Mobile numbers and delivery logs are retained only as long as necessary for billing, support, and legal compliance.
- All logs are periodically purged based on internal retention policies.
- Message content is never stored at any point.
7. Your Data Is Never Sold or Shared
- Edwiser does not sell, rent, share, or trade any mobile numbers or data collected through the Moodle WhatsApp Integration plugin.
- Mobile numbers are stored only for the purpose of message delivery tracking and billing, and are never used for marketing or any unrelated communication.
- Data is not shared with third parties, except with Pinnacle for the sole purpose of delivering WhatsApp messages as per Meta’s approved process.
- All usage is governed by strict access controls and confidentiality

Since the plugin is operated by Moodle site admins, end-users should contact the site admin for:
- Data access or deletion requests
- Queries about what notifications they’re receiving

Edwiser processes the above data:
